Bug unites us – two cross-border kayak trails for tourists.
The project is a result of cooperation of three countries: Poland, Belarus and Ukraine.
The Leader of the project is Drohiczyn Commune (Poland), partners are the Council of Sokal District (Ukraine) and Department of Tourism of Drogichin (Belarus).
The Partners undertook actions to ensure promotion and preservation of natural heritage by the development of tourist infrastructure, enhancement of connections and cross-border cooperation.
The project is being implementef thanks to the funding from Crossborder Cooperation Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2020.
Partners of the project – Sokal District Council (Ukraine) and Department of Tourism of Drogichin (Belarus).
The most important outcome of the project would be a new tourist product, based on principles of sustainable tourism and natural environment preservation of the regions located near the country’s borders by the river Bug. What is more, tourists will gain access to areas that are ecologically clean and have little signs of human intervention. The project creates opportunities to develop entrepreneurship for economically underdeveloped areas based on local resources. The project will also enable the integration of local communities of the three countries. It will provide opportunities for people working in tourism.
